I was approached by an architect to make 4 chairs for the foyer of a redevelopment in Hampstead Garden suburb. The building was once a monastery and the company logo was the mullioned windows kept in the rebuild.
Nick also wanted to hang two Belgian tapestries but budget wouldn’t allow, so I sourced this William Morris fabric for him and made two large tapestry like wall hangings.
To tie it all together we embroidered the Carmel gate logo onto the backs of the chairs entwined with flowers from the wall hangings.
